College scouts have bet big on our players with their school budgets. For the 2021 – 2022 term, Premium Club members received $4,530,068 in scholarships – yeah, seriously! Esports Tower combines and special events that connect players to colleges and universities, offering both exposure to scouts offering esports scholarships and as part of our seasonal premium player club awards program, Esports Tower also offers scholarships that can be used for any school and any course major. While not every gamer becomes the multimillionaire many of our esports athletes graduate to have rewarding professions working in sales, marketing, merchandising, event planning, communications, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, computer science, web, graphic or game design, and much, much more.

FAQs

PLAYERS

You must be at least 13 years old and have not graduated from high school yet. You must be a US resident. You must be a minimum of Gold level in Overwatch, Silver level in Valorant, or Gold level in Rocket League.

Players will receive their team schedule, which will include two practices a week. One practice will be an hour and a half, the other practice will be 2 hours long.

All practices are online using Discord.

Practice is twice a week. Your coach will give you your schedule and be with you at every practice. You’ll connect during practice with your teammates and coach on Discord. One practice will be an hour and a half and include video reviews, the Esports Tower Approach™, aim training, and strategy sessions led by your coach. The second practice each week will be 2 hours long and be a scrim against another team where you can practice what you’ve been working on.

Once a player is registered, he or she will set up their player profile which will include what level you currently play the game at (i.e. Silver, Gold, Platinum etc.) With that information, we will assign you a team with players that are on a similar level as you and are just as committed to leveling up as you are.

At least for the remainder of the current season. After that, it will depend if the team wants to stay together (most do) and if any of the players have advanced to a new level faster than the others on the team.

You will play other teams in various ways. Each week, you will play other teams in scrims, and throughout the season, there will be opportunities to play in exclusive combines in front of college recruiters, and in tournaments, both exclusive and public.

A couple of times a month, we will have special talks by industry professionals. Previously, we have had college recruiters, representatives from professional esports organizations, people that work in the esports industry, and professionals that work with esports players. We’re always reaching into our great network to bring people that our players will find interesting.

Enrollment is on a rolling basis, so you can join anytime. And, of course, you may cancel anytime also.

Currently, we offer Fortnite, Overwatch, Valorant, and Rocket League, but soon we will be announcing additional game titles. If you’d like to suggest a title and be notified when we announce new ones, please let us know here.

Currently, we are partnering with over 30 universities who are all very interested in meeting players that are the right fit for their programs, and many of them are offering esports scholarships. The list of partnering universities is constantly growing. Additionally, we work with professional teams, such as Misfits Gaming that are interested in the development of the next generation of esports athletes. Also, if there’s a specific collegiate program that you’re interested in making it to, we can always reach out to that program to advocate on your behalf!

The Esports Tower Approach™ is a curriculum developed in conjunction with universities. It teaches life skills that universities and professional teams are looking for in players outside of just gaming skills. Topics covered include: communication, collaboration, conflict resolution, how to be a good teammate, leadership, sportsmanship, and taking care of your physical and mental health.

Yes! Many of our prizes during the season are college scholarships. These scholarships can be used at any accredited college or university in the United States for any field of study.

For each scholarship award that we give, we work with Varsity Esports Foundation to manage our scholarship fund. Any player who wins a scholarship can use it when they attend any accredited college or university in the United States for any field of study.

Every two weeks, on Friday evening, we will have special talks by industry professionals. Previously, we have had college recruiters, representatives from professional esports organizations, people that work in the esports industry, and professionals that work with esports players. We’re always reaching into our great network to bring people that our players will find interesting and expand their understanding of the esports industry.

Absolutely! Esports is now a billon dollar industry. Just like in traditional sports, professional players can make millions. Also, all other forms of careers are possible in esports, such as coaching, sales, marketing, accounting, social media, data science, graphic arts, and so much more.

Registering for a club takes less than 60 seconds. First, secure the subscription with your choice of payment. Second, complete the player profile form.

No problem. If the player is under 18, the subscription is secured by the player’s parent/guardian. Once the weekly subscription is secured, we will send the rest of the registration requirements to the player so they can complete their player profile.

We need to collect player profile as part of the registration process so we can match players to a coach and team complementary with their skill level.

For remote practice, every player will need their own gaming system and personal game copy to play.

We take our players’ safety very seriously. A criminal background check, reference review, and behavioral interview is completed on every employee at Esports Tower.

Our goal is to provide a flexible and hassle-free subscription experience. To this end, we offer the following cancellation policy for our subscribers:

  1. Cancellation at Any Time: Subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time. There is no cancellation fee or penalty for terminating your subscription.
  2. Stoppage of Payment: Upon cancellation, billing will cease starting from the next billing cycle. This means your access to the subscription services will continue until the end of your current billing period.
  3. No Partial Credits: We do not offer refunds or credits for partial subscription periods or unused services. Once you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid billing cycle, after which it will not renew.

When we started, we hosted local clubs in-market. With the current pandemic, we have moved fully on-line, hosting virtual clubs and tournaments. In the future, we will have on-site training programs throughout the country, but in the meantime, all programs are virtual and use Discord.

Since COVID-19 has begun, we made the decision to stop all on-site training programs and keep everything virtual until a time when we and our location partners are confident it is safe for our players, coaches, and parents. We’ll keep you posted when things change and appreciate your continued patronage during this global pandemic.
